Hello! My name is Rebecca Trisko and I am so excited to be working with Mrs. Funkhouser this year! I am in my final year of my degree at Arizona State University and have been taking classes on the Polytechnic campus since my freshman year. I have worked at ASU Prep before as an intern both with Mrs. Houseman and Mrs. Wojtalik. My passion has always been for teaching and I can't wait to start off this year
I was born here in Arizona and essentially grew up on the ASU campus. My grandfather used to teach at ASU Tempe so I am truly a Sun Devil at heart. My family currently lives in Texas and I try to go home and visit as much as possible. My family is my whole life, I don't know where I would be without the support of them. I have two younger brothers, one starting college and one is in eighth grade, and as of this year an adorable nephew who was born in June. When I am not in the classroom I am spending my time on campus either running Relay for Life with Colleges Against Cancer, doing student government work, or hanging out with friends in the Barrett Lounge. I try to keep myself busy as I don't do well sitting still and enjoy volunteering as much as possible. With it being my senior year I am starting my Barrett the Honors College thesis about how Relay for Life impacts a community. If I'm not on campus, which is rare, you may be able to find me at Disneyland as I am a huge fan of any and all things Disney. I look forward to meeting you and being part of your child's educational journey at ASU Prep. |
